Sitting in the park Lyrics. Yes I'm sitting right here Waiting for you my dear Wondering if you're even gonna show I don't know you're gonna show And my darling gotta know Nevertheless I said you got me waiting. Sitting in the park waiting for you. Sitting here on the bench With my back against the fence Wondering if I've got any sense at all Something tells me I'm a fool Let you treat me so cruel Nevertheless I said you got me waiting

Main Auditorium, . 0pm. Sun 28 Jul, . 0pm handsome and dapper in a cream suit, he ambles onstage. Everyone knows they are in for a treat, even the band' The Telegraph 'There's no point in doing it when Georgia Fame could do it ten times better' Bill Wyman. One of a very select number of UK tour dates, Georgie Fame appears in concert at the Rose Theatre, for one night only.

When I saw Georgie Fame as the headliner on the Jazz stage at Glastonbury 2009, I realized why he is admired by so many as one of the best jazz musicians the UK has ever produced. As a singer and songwriter, Georgie Fame has rightly earned much respect from his peers and those who have followed in his footsteps, including Jamie Cullum who, on several occasions, has praised Fame for inspiring his career. But it is when you see him behind a piano that you see this is where he is most at home. Everyone in the room watched in awe as he skillfully reeled off a set of quality hits, originals and covers, and indulged in some mind blowing piano solos. Taking inspiration from the originators of Jazz, like Ray Charles, seeing Georgie Fame live was confirmation of why he has had such an extensive and successful career and I’m so glad that I got to see the star in person.
