Black Moth is an English stoner rock/metal band from Leeds. They cite Black Sabbath, The Stooges, Mastodon, Red Fang, Pissed Jeans, Drunk in Hell, Kvelertak, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, Turbowolf, Blacklisters, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Swans, Bo Ningen, Goat and Arabrot and L7 as influences. The band has released three full-length albums, all produced by Jim Sclavunos (Grinderman, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds).
Condemned To Hope incorporates a 110% rock ‘n’ roll approach to the album. Black Sabbath play an integral inspiration to Black Moth and the untouchable Sabbath grooves can be found in tracks such as the vicious 'Room 13', and drummer Dom McCready has evidently been taking notes from Bill Ward with the chugging thunder on 'The Undead King Of Rock ‘n’ Roll'.

Black Moth rose from the Leeds underground scene at the end of the last decade, indulging their love for both Sabbath sulphur and Stooges squalor. Their debut 'The Killing Jar', which was released in 2012, was hailed by many as 'one of the best debut album's you'll hear all year' - it even made it onto Kerrang's top 50 albums of the year. Now with an expanded (guitar) lineup to expand the riffage comes the follow up, 'Condemned To Hope. Their long awaited second album, produced like their first by Jim Sclavunos (Grinderman, Nick Cave & the Bad.
