Bill Johnson (born in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadian blues guitarist, singer-songwriter, and music educator. After a long career as a sideman and guitarist, in the 1990s he began touring with The Bill Johnson Band. They released their second album, Live, in 2006, which led to Johnson being nominated for Best Guitarist at the Maple Blues Awards. He self-released his third solo album, Still Blue, in 2010, which was nominated for Blues Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2012.

Marvin Earl Johnson (October 15, 1938 – May 16, 1993) was an American R&B and soul singer most notable for performing on the first record to ever come from Motown. Between 1959 and 1961, Johnson would issue nine Hot 100 singles including two top ten singles, "You Got What It Takes" and "I Love The Way You Love".

gr A Funk, Soul, Jazz & R&B digital record collection. Del Jones’ Positive Vibes were a Philadelphia band that released two versions of the same album – both self-released on Hikeka Records in 1973. The story apparently goes Del Jones’ brother worked for a major record label and told Del that the original album wasn’t commercial enough so he took the original tapes to Electric Lady Studios in NYC and had horns laid over the original tracks.
