A very solid collection of rare or previously unreleased material from the group's mid-'60s prime. Mostly Ron Elliott originals, they're easily up to the standard of the ones that made it onto their first two LPs, with "Gentle Wondering Ways," "She Loves Me," "She Sends Me," and "Love Is Just a Game" being standouts. Achingly tuneful folk-rock, it also includes an alternate, slower version of "Sad Little Girl," the silly dance-rock confection "The Jerk," and a few cuts that hint at the country-rock direction they would.
