Bomber is the third studio album by the band Motörhead, released on 27 October 1979, on Bronze Records, their second with the label. The album reached on the UK charts at the time. By 1979, Motörhead had been together for four years and had amassed a loyal following in both punk and heavy metal circles. After recording an album for United Artists that the label shelved, the band released its eponymous debut LP in 1977, but it was with 1979's Overkill that the band hit their stride.

Released date 27 October 1979. Labels Bronze Records. Motörhead built upon the success of "Overkill" by adopting a sensible "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy on this follow up album, with the songs again built around simple but very effective riffs and characterised by Lemmy's thundering bass and Fast Eddie Clarke's strident guitar sound. On the brilliant "Stone Dead Forever", there's even a clever intro which rivals the majesty of the intro to "Overkill".

Motörhead is the self-titled debut studio album by the band Motörhead, released on 21 August 1977, on Chiswick Records, one of the first for the label. It is officially regarded as the band's debut album, though an album was recorded in 1975 for United Artists which was shelved, and was only released in 1979 after the band had established themselves commercially

Ain't a hope in Hell Nothing's gonna bring us down The way we fly five miles off the ground Because. We shoot to kill And you know we always will It's a bomber It's a bomber. Scream a thousand miles Hear the black death rising moan Firestorm coming closer Napalm to the bone Because. You know we do it right A mission every night It's a bomber It's a bomber It's a bomber. Talk about Motörhead - Bomber

Delayed US issue of the second Motorhead LP, originally issued in ’79, and featuring the classic trio line-up: Lemmy, Philthy Animal, Eddie Clarke. I’ve never dug the songs on this as much as the earlier tunes, but the sound is as thick as the moles on Lemmy’s face, and it’s a goddamn classic.
