Anesthetize is the second live album by progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, released on 20 May 2010. It is filmed in high definition and taken from two concerts given by Porcupine Tree at Tilburg, Netherlands on 15 and 16 October, at the end of the Fear of a Blank Planet tour in 2008.

Porcupine Tree – Anesthetize. I wonder how you can discuss about the correct lyrics with all this possibilities. Definitely the best song of the new album, maybe the best song they ever wrote, too. As you may know the whole CD is a concept album about a kid/teenager who's unable to deal with the modern world. Starting with a description of the life, ending with suicide (or with love, though I think this is just an interpretation from some optimists, if you read the whole text of "Sleep Together").

Porcupine Tree Lyrics. A good impression of myself Not much to conceal I'm saying nothing But I'm saying nothing with feel Shut up, be happy Stop whining please. Because of who we are We react in mock surprise The curse of "there must be more" So don't breathe here, Don't leave your bags Shut up, be happy Stop whining please  . Anesthetize" lyrics provided for educational purposes and personal use only.

If you’re a fan of the older PT the set list won’t tickle your fancy as only 3 of the 17 songs are from before the current metal era of the band, and all of them are from the Signify album. Even I, being a fan of the modern PT, was less than thrilled with the set as I had been longing to see songs like Russia on Ice, The Sky Moves Sideways and Fadeaway being performed in pristine HD quality.

Porcupine Tree released their last album, The Incident, in 2009, marking another step forward in the incredible journey of the band that began as a solo studio project created by Steven Wilson in the late eighties to a multi grammy nominated act and one of the world s most revered live bands, selling out arenas across the globe and wowing fans with their. incredible performances. Steven Wilson is currently enjoying global chart success with his fourth solo album Hand. About 3 years ago now Porcupine released Anesthetize as a DVD only, the fan base has been calling for the audio portion to be released since then. The band finally relented and have released the Anesthetize set as a two CD/1 DVD (or Blu-ray) set. There is nothing added, no bonus tracks, no DVD extras.
