Tyr (/ˈtɪər/) (stylized as ᛏᛉᚱ) is the 15th studio album by English rock band Black Sabbath, released in August 1990 by . The album title, and several song titles, allude to Norse mythology, which led many to call Tyr a concept album, although bassist Neil Murray dispelled that in 2005, stating that while many of the songs may seem loosely related, very little of the album has to do with mythology and it was not intended to be a concept recording.

Headless Cross is a music studio album recording by BLACK SABBATH (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 1989 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Headless Cross introduces top rock drummer Cozy Powell, who appears here for the first time on a Black Sabbath album. Powell, as most people on this site will know, was a fantastic drummer who had just worked with Keith Emerson and Greg Lake before he joined Black Sabbath and before that he was, of course, in Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow.

Arguably the finest Black Sabbath album sans Ozzy or Dio, Headless Cross also featured one of Black Sabbath's most formidable lineups ever: matching the two Tonys with veteran bassist Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Gary Moore, et. and experienced journeyman Cozy Powell (too many associations to list) - one of the few drummers in possession of an instantly recognizable sound

Headless Cross is a heavy metal music album recording by BLACK SABBATH released in 1989 on CD, LP/Vinyl and/or cassette. The previous album, The Eternal Idol, constituted the start of a new era in Black Sabbath history and was also the best that had been heard from the band in a very long time. Headless Cross continues this tradition. The Eternal Idol had introduced the previously unknown but great Tony Martin on vocals and his voice turned out to fit the band's music hand in glove. Martin again does an outstanding vocal performance on this album. Headless Cross also introduces top Rock drummer Cozy Powell, who appears here for the first time on a Black Sabbath album

Headless Cross is a real town in England. Tony Martin lives there. ) This was the first Black Sabbath release not to be on the original record contracts with Warner Bros & Vertigo. Those expired after the 1987 release. Brian May does a guitar solo on When Death Calls. There is a music video for the song Headless Cross. Laurence Cottle did not tour, but does appear (albeit in the background) in the video for the song Headless Cross.
