Of Desire' will be The KVB's second LP on Geoff Barrow’s label, Invada Records. Home to similarly experimental artists such as Anika, College, and Barrow's own Beak, the label has helped the band break out of the bedroom walls, which had begun to restrict them. The band were invited to Barrow’s Invada Studios to record 'Of Desire', using his "wonderful synthesisers" as they began to flesh out ideas from bedroom demos dating back to Wood's earliest recordings. Day, who studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths, also provides all of the visual elements surrounding The KVB, from album artwork to video projections for their live performances. Inspired by artists such as CGI experimenter Ed Atkins and German filmmaker, visual artist and video documentarian Hito Steyerl, her work is rich in texture; immersive and alluring. Of Desire' is The KVB's moment of sticking their heads up above the parapet.

The KVB recorded their next album, Of Desire (2016) at the Bristol studio of Geoff Barrow In 2017, The KVB released the EP Fixation, White Walls.
Upon its release, Mirror Being's experimental synth instrumentals seemed like a fun way for the KVB to indulge their inner Blade Runner before returning to their regularly scheduled blend of darkwave and shoegaze. However, Of Desire makes it clear that the duo wasn't dabbling: recorded with synths from Invada Records head Geoff Barrow's formidable arsenal, these songs find Kat Day and Nicholas Wood cultivating their gloomy mystique in new ways
Formed in 2010 by Nicholas Wood and Kat Day, on the new album Of Desire, the KVB balance walls of blurred guitars washed on the machine rhythm of electronic pop, exploring the darker, neo-psychedelic edges of shoegaze and noise pop.

The fifth album from UK darkwave duo The KVB will arrive on Invada Records on March 11th. Of Desire will be Kat Day and Nicholas Wood's second release on Portishead member Geoff Barrow's Bristol-based label. It follows a string of releases for operations like Downwards, Minimal Wave sublabel Cititrax and Ukraine's ~taqueOT, most of which explored a moody shoegaze aesthetic. According to a press release, Barrow invited the Berlin-based Day and Wood to record Of Desire in his studio (the pair explained afterwards that they made use of his "wonderful synthesisers").
