NTS Sessions 1–4 (also known as NTS Sessions) is the thirteenth studio album by British electronic music duo Autechre, released by Warp Records on 26 April 2018. The album was announced on April 9, and consists of original music comprising Autechre's April 2018 residency for NTS Radio, which was announced the week before, on 3 April 2018. The album was subsequently released in both digital and physical formats.

Autechre’s eight-hour NTS Sessions adds another level of the British duo’s legacy of monumental digital music. NTS Sessions 1-4, initially released over the course of April as a series of weekly broadcasts for the online London station NTS Radio, is the latest and longest of these experiments, clocking in at eight hours total, and is likely completely impenetrable to the uninitiated. This is to say that it’s still very Autechrian.

NTS Sessions 1–4 - Студийный альбом от Autechre. Вышел 26 апреля 2018г. В альбом вошло 77 треков. Продолжительность альбома: 15:59:44. NTS Sessions 1–4. 26 апреля 2018г.

NTS Sessions 1-4 offers a lot of experimentation and engaging moments through the majority of it's runtime. Although it may feel like it drags at some points, I think that's almost impossible not to happen in an 8 hour project.

Talk about Autechre - NTS Sessions 1-4

This is why the comment section is a joke. 30 comments so far and none are about the music.Nobody cares if your vinyl arrived safe or damaged. Tell someone who can do something sbout it
The comment section isn't just about reviews of the music and never has been - You will note there is tick box to state whether or not your comment is 'a review'- the reviews should appear with stars so you should ignore all but those. The discussion about the condition that some of these (very expensive) vinyl box sets have shipped in is relevant - and anyone buying or selling this item in the future will want to be aware there are bent up versions out there.
How is it unreasonable for people to review the quality of a record pressing? Some people are concerned about whether or not what they're buying will arrive in one piece. Especially if they're about to drop $200 on it. There are so many poor pressings being sold nowadays, some of us like to know whether what we're buying will be listenable or not. I'm sure there's at least a few people out there who would regret not reading the comments here before dropping over $200 on a pressing that clearly suffered serious issues.
One thing comes to mind - PARADOX.As we haven't had enough already in this plural world here comes this beast pouring down razors on your humble head. I think the level has been achieved of not being possible to evaluate this music through the like/dislike prism. A paradox on its own is to call an 8 hour long odyssey through the most alien-like cold critical sterile experiment an album. A paradox to press and reproduce such an advance and progress using the retrograde technique from the previous century and, whilst doing so, losing the mentioned vital clinical and sterile factor of this experiment due to clicks pops and distortion. A paradox even to call it 'music' it seems, if we go by classical descriptions and books. A paradox to even bear the demand - such a pretentious one - for the listener to sacrifice the whole shift to listen it through in the society setup where everyone's got more opportunities than time to manage them, let alone the following listens. The somewhat ironical term IDM is hardly applicable here and made redundant - one could hardly dance to it in a 'normal' daily application, the 'music' part as described per above, and quite a few intelligent people might think this sound design might not be that intelligent after all. Another paradox.Progress cannot sustain itself without the critique of the old ways of existing hence potentially it's limitless. We've come a long way from homo erectus to homo economicus (some might say homo digitalis). Another paradox when you think of it in terms of AE - say groups of likely-minded people arguing about the direction and progress of AE - one might say there's a lot of it, some might say there's none.A paradox is even to be inspired by these sonics and make the same mistake over and over again - overthink everything, as for all we know, them are just two guys doing their thing. The sound of the future. If the end of our journey could equally soundalike the ending of this creation - this pompous grand finale - a luxury only these paladins of a genre can afford - there is the light at the end of a tunnel, for sure.
I want the LP Version if this 8 hour long album <3 insane !!!
