Breaking the Silence is the debut album by the American thrash metal band Heathen. It was published on 1 May 1987 on Combat Records. In 1984, Lee Altus began, influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and the large amount of thrash bands in the Bay Area (eg Exodus, Metallica and many more. For its part, also set up a band. After several line-up changes in the early days Heathen finally plays in the occupation of David Godfrey, Lee Altus, Doug Piercy, Mike Jastremski and Carl Sacco Breaking the Silence as a debut album. With Set Me Free album also contains a cover of Sweet songs of 1974. This song was released as a single in 1987. Breaking the Silence was released on 1 May 1987 as the record with eight tracks. The CD release contained entitled Heathen as a bonus track nine songs.
