But Jim Martin's playing is amazing. Fans of heavy guitar will not be disappointed with Milk & Blood. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this album and Jim Martin. Wish he would decide and make a come back. I have listened to this album at least a hundred times and I am very certain that it was released prematurely. Sounds too much like a demo. I have been meaning to do a mix on the album myself. The number one thing I found that could easily be fixed is the vocals. Jim Martin may not be the best singer in the world but I along with some of the old school Faith No More fans used to love and watch him scream utter nonsense into the microphone during shows

Milk and Blood is really a pathetic album because it took Martin so long to bring a group of musicians together, despite his fame, despite the fact that he was within the California thrash scene's immediate circle of big names like Gary Holt, James Hetfield, etc. The same band that recorded everything heard on record here in 1997 was already put together as early as 1995 under the name 'The Behemoth', but of course changed their name due to the black metal act from Poland. You don't need me to tell you the album flopped big time when it finally was released. Number one: Jim Martin simply can't sing. It's not that I don't like his voice or anything, it's that he quite objectively just can't sing. It's not up for debate, Chuck Mosley sings better and has more charisma than Martin. That in of itself should tell you how alien Jim Martin sounds behind the microphone.
