Alex Mauer: I’ve been obsessed with music my whole life. I taught myself how to play keyboard poorly, and when I got older I taught myself how to use trackers to compose on computer. I grew up with a Yamaha DX-21 FM synth in the house, which I used to record the early version of Blast in 1991. It uses the same Yamaha OPM FM chip, as many popular games from that time.

Site should be noticeably faster. I will continue to work on the site this week.

SidAlpha I don’t recall saying that she might sue, but I can understand how that might come across to people. This was also apparent when the two most-recent batches of Privacy complaints from both individuals came in within mere moments of each other in each instance.

Notes

In 1991, an imaginary videogame soundtrack was recorded by then 8 year old Alex Mauer and his father. A decade and a half later, the work was revised and released as “Blast” the album. “Blast” and the more obscure “Blast 2″ come together in this 2 part collection of 16-bit style FM VGM.

Blast 1 : tracks 01 to 09.
Blast 2 : tracks 10 to 18.
