Collective Soul (sometimes referred to as the Blue Album to differentiate from the second self-titled album) is the second studio album by Collective Soul. It became the band's highest selling album to date, going Triple-Platinum, and spent 76 weeks on the Billboard 200 charts. The singles "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows" all reached on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, while the first two singles also became major pop hits.

To me, The Collective is adventurous. It’s made me more outgoing, more open to trying new things. Co-living is a new way of living inspired by the old, with community and collective experiences at its core. Using space to bring everyone together, we are creating collaborative and inspiring environments that expose members to new people, new ideas and new experiences.

So it is easy to imagine that an album trumpeted as a ‘celebration of their 30th anniversary’ which is composed of re-recordings of old material could have an accusation of ‘no new ideas here’ levelled (if you forgive me) at it. But wait – ‘We The Collective’ is much more than a re-hash of old songs and deserves more than a fair hearing. Surely no one would expect a simple re-packaging of a ‘best of’ to mark the bands three decades of protest, activism and downright good music? And anyway, we are promised new music in due course. No, ‘We The Collective’ is a venture which just reminds us that.

Every Animal Collective album, including solo and collaborative releases, EPs, and weird one-offs, ranked from worst to best. watery vocals and what sounds like field recordings of children playing tucked away at its center. 27. Animal Collective, Hollindagain (2002) This is a weird one, even by Animal Collective’s standards: Comprised of live material recorded during various gigs with Black Dice in 2001 as well as a session on New Jersey radio station WFMU, Hollindagain (which initially saw limited release before getting reissued by Animal Collective’s own Paw Tracks label in 2006) features almost entirely unreleased. 13. Animal Collective, The Painters EP (2017) The rare Animal Collective leftovers EP that outstrips its predecessor in quality.
