Karina ESP - A still from the film morc 69 - lp (14 euro). A still from the film is a sort of sister release of 2012’s ‘detachment’. The a-side is one sidelong melody rising out of a mix of hiss, crackles and guitarsounds. The b-side of the record is more straightforward, with a prominent role for Gowers’ vocals, which makes the album stand out far from his contemporaries.

A split album (or split) is a music album which includes tracks by two or more separate artists. There have been singles and EPs of the same variety, which are often called "split singles" and "split EPs" respectively. Split albums differ from "various artists" compilation albums in that they generally include several tracks of each artist, or few artists with one or two tracks each, instead of multiple artists with only one or two tracks each.

Karina ESP: 'The last Karina ESP work recorded to tape, this track marks the end of the early analogue recordings and mourns the passing of my now-deceased 4-track. For staring into nothing. Froxel: 'Recorded 2003. Turbine Wars' started out as a track with much more beat and melody. Then we started messing around with a bunch of effects and came up with the track you now hear.

Karina ESP has been played on NTS shows including Nosedrip, with Low Red Room (1) first played on 17 October 2016. Karina ESP has been recording lo-fi minimal ambient music since 1998. Initial releases on home-made hand-painted cassettes merged improvised ambient drones with delayed guitar folk. Appearances on other fine labels and formats followed. In recent years Karina ESP has released a collaborative 10" with Circle Brothers and a cassette of unreleased/rare material on the excellent Belgian label Morc.
