Guns N' Roses, often abbreviated as GNR, is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985. When they signed to Geffen Records in 1986, the band comprised vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The current lineup consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Melissa Reese.

The discography of Guns N' Roses, an American hard rock band, consists of six studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, three extended plays (EPs), 19 singles, nine video albums and 21 music videos. Guns N' Roses was formed in Los Angeles, California with an original recording lineup of lead vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler.

McKagan is the third GN’R member to tease an in-the-works album, following Slash and guitarist Richard Fortus. Axl, Duff, myself and Richard have all talked abou. here’s material and stuff going on already for a new record, Slash told an interviewer earlier this month. It’s just, with Guns N’ Roses, you don’t go, ‘Oh, there is a plan, and it’s gonna be like this,’ because that’s not how it works. So, basically, the only real answer to give is we’re hoping to put a new record out, and we’ll just see what happens when it happens

Released: November 29, 1988. Recorded: Rumbo Studios, Take One Studios, Image Recording. GN'R Lies cover is a parody of tabloid newspapers, as are the liner notes. It underwent several minor modifications when the title was released on CD. "Mama Kin" is an Aerosmith song, which originally appeared on the band's 1973 debut album and "Nice Boys" is a Rose Tattoo cover from their 1978 album Rose Tattoo. Used To Love Her" was written as a joke after Izzy Stradlin disliked a song he heard on the radio. You're Crazy" is an acoustic version of the song originally released on Appetite For Destruction.

These songs serve as an introduction to the band’s roots and biggest influences, of which three are covers: Hollywood Rose’s Reckless Life, Rose Tattoo’s Nice Boys, and Aerosmith’s Mama Kin. G N’ R Lies Q&A.

Guns N’ Roses packed an entire career’s worth of brilliant songs onto their seminal debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which turned 30 last month and spurred us to rank the band’s 15 best songs. It’s a good thing, too, because the group dissolved just a few years later, forcing fans to satisfy themselves with band members’ various solo albums and side projects. Not every post-GN’R effort was a knockout, but several stand on their own as perfectly enjoyable rock albums, while a few come tantalizingly close to the glory of Guns N’ Roses’ heyday
