Strange Weather is the fourth solo studio album by Glenn Frey, the guitarist and co-lead vocalist for the Eagles. It was released in 1992 by MCA. Though considered an improvement from Frey's previous album by most critics, it went largely unnoticed by the public. It was a commercial disappointment, failing to chart in the US, and none of its three singles reached the Top 40, a first for Frey. Part of Me, Part of You" was earlier released as part of the Thelma and Louise soundtrack and peaked at #55.

Talk about Abstract Speed - The Grace Of Strange Weather

Highly recommended ! Beautiful cover and music, rare !!!
This CD, one of my favorites of this genre, contains a remarkable 27-minute slab of ambient music very much in Brian Eno's style: gently layered, beatless (but not formless), dreamy pieces put together with careful attention to timbral compatibility and the suggestion of physical space. Sounds are muted and distant. Reverb, though abundant, is always "soft". There are no gimmicky, dub-style effects & samples as found in the styles of '90s ambient made by dance music producers, and there are no grating "breathy" or harmonic resonances as favored by many-a post-New Age artist armed with digital gear that's dialed-in to played-out presets. Musically, I think the album's closest cousin is "Ikebukuro" from The Shutov Assembly. It's is quite compatible with active listening, but it works just as well as sonic "room coloring", as all good ambient should.
thanks for reviewing this, listening to some tracks on youtube now, sounding very good. Hope it's not too hard to find!
This album is a wonderful work. Very atmospheric sounds which will pull you in really fascinating worlds of your imagination ...
