Mink, Rat or Rabbit is the first album by The Detroit Cobras, released 24 February 1998 (see 1998 in music). The title quotes a line from Irma Thomas's "Hittin on Nothing" complaining that the singer has not received a promised mink coat. Original by Brice Coefield. I'll Keep Holding On. Original by The Marvelettes. Putty (In Your Hands). Original by The Shirelles. Easier To Cry. Original by The Shangri-Las. Original by The Oblivians. Original by The 5 Royales.

The Detroit Cobras manage a pretty rare feat with their debut LP by transcending classic R&B material by sticking not to the original sound or slavishly recreating arrangements and stylistic trappings of the genre, but by finding the essence of the rough-and-tumble spirit of the original streetwise tunes the Cobras tackle on Mink Rat.

Band Name The Detroit Cobras. Album Name Mink, Rat or Rabbit. Data de lançamento 24 Fevereiro 1998. Labels Sympathy For The Record Industry.
