Ghosts' - Frequency Drift (8/10). It sounds like the album cover. Frequency Drift's atmospheric, arboreal sound is perfectly reflective of the foggy lake depicted on the cover of their third and latest album, 'Ghosts. A German band founded a few years back with a cinematic inspiration fueling the fires beneath their heels, they have since earned a warm following of listeners, enchanting by the ethereal music they make. Ghosts' is the first experience I have had with Frequency Drift, and it has met my ears with great approval. Frequency Drift is a band that is fond of and skilled at creating enticing moods and atmospheres, and on "Ghost" we're provided with an hour of music that associates well with the album name. Haunting, fragile and folk oriented themes and dark, majestic metal oriented ones represent the extremes, with a fair few ambient inserts of a musical and non-musical nature along the way.

Label: ProgRock Records (3) ‎– PRR152. Format: CD, Album, Unofficial Release.

Due to frequent requests, Frequency Drift have decided to re-release their out of print album Ghosts. for its 5th anniversary. which was originally released in 2011, is a milestone in the history of the band. With its eclectic mixture of classic progressive rock, folk, ambient, metal and jazz, it laid the foundation for Frequency Drift's characteristic approach to songwriting: experimental, yet melodic and richly atmospheric cinematic music with outside-the-box arrangements

New CD "Ghosts" out in September 2011, released on Progrockrecords. While the story of Personal Effects was set in a dark urban and futuristic setting, the new songs are connected by a different theme. They are about things that haunt us, things that cannot fully be grasped, things we carry with us, emotions that echo from former times.
