"With this tenth album of our Lionel Hampton Discography we span ten swinging, romping and stomping years of Hamp's big band and combo recording outlet for US Decca (today MCA Records). For the first time the attempt has been made to make available a complete recording output for this label in a chronological order.
We have used - wherever possible - monaural dubbings from the original plates or tapes. No echo or other technical sound "improvements" have been used in order to keep the original sound."
