The US Festival (US pronounced like the pronoun, not as initials) was the name of two early 1980s music and culture festivals. Steve Wozniak, cofounder of Apple and creator of the Apple I and Apple II personal computers, believed that the 1970s were the "Me" generation. He intended the US Festivals, with Bill Graham's participation, to encourage the 1980s to be more community-oriented and combine technology with rock music

Native Noise Festival. Mubali is the musical project of Greg Farley, originally based in Monterey, California but currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He came from a classical music background, due to playing viola for 9 years in school, as well as a funk and soul upbringing. He has been involved in electronic music as a whole since 2000, after being converted to the dj culture by Burning Man and Dj Dice. He has 2 album releases on Trishula Records, a free album released on Ektoplazm Records and countless solo and collaborative works on many labels. His style can be described as sometimes funky and bouncy, sometime chunky and nasty, but always psychedelic.

Among the highlights are Peter Wheat and the Breadmen's hook-filled "All the Time," the Soultons' "Rain Down Soul" (which sounds an awful lot like the Animals' hit take on "House of the Rising Sun") and Sound 70's interesting folk-rock version of Bob Dylan's "One Too Many Mornings.

The Northern California Folk-Rock Festival was a music festival held at Family Park in the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, California, on May 18–19, 1968 and promoted by Bob Blodgett. It was the first of two such festivals held at the venue, being followed by the Northern California Folk-Rock Festival (1969). The festival featured Country Joe and the Fish, The Animals, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin, The Youngbloods, The Electric Flag, Kaleidoscope, Taj Mahal, and Ravi Shankar. The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
