Tales of Rock'n'Roll is the twelfth full-length studio album recorded by the various . lineups and the ninth studio album by the Michael Schenker Group. It was released in 2006 after two years of work, to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary. The music was initially composed for a UFO concept album, but Schenker decided instead to use it for a new MSG album, after he reformed the band with a new line-up.

Today is the 30th Anniversary of Guns N Roses’ debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which is in my opinion, the greatest rock album of all time. I hop on Twitter, defeated, and see that both of my bosses are there

I Love Rock 'n Roll is the second studio album by Joan Jett and the first with her backing band The Blackhearts. Soon after the first recording sessions at Soundworks Studios, original Blackheart guitarist Eric Ambel was replaced by Ricky Byrd. It is Jett's most commercially successful album to date with over 10 million copies sold, largely due to the success of the title track, which was released as a single soon after the album was released.

Then it was the Turtles. Today, perhaps it looks like this was a sell out. No, it wasn’t. This is the debut album from Devo which introduced a new sound into rock ’n’ roll. A complete 180 degree turn away from the hippie sound of rock ’n’ roll. Bauhaus, Bela Lugosi’s Dead, 1979. And I’ll end my list with Bela Lugosi’s Dead. I've played guitar for years so I this this from a musicians viewpoint. A song like 'Rock around the Clock' for a rhythm shift from Blues to Rock. Brian Eno once said that that while the album initially only sold approximately 30,000 copies, "everyone who bought one of those 30,000 copies started a band. The Byrds, Sweetheart of the Rodeo, 1968.

8 1/4 x 11 1/4 approx. The writers tend to favour softer forms of rock and are clearly big fans of soul, funk, doo-wop and motown while not really liking the more abrasive side of rock music after the 1960s. No Iggy, for crying out loud! But still a very entertaining book with the animal characters (4 cats and a bird) giving their perspectives on the various artists and trends and the fun interplay between them.

Wow it's been 30 years since George and his Destroyers first plugged in, turned up and took their rockin' blues on the path to stardom. This CD rounds up 16 key cuts: Move It On Over; Who Do You Love?; One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer; Willie & the Hand Jive; Bad to the Bone; I Drink Alone, plus live tracks, alternate takes and more rowdy rock 'n' roll! Track Listings. I get in the mood for his particular talk/sing/talk rock n roll and enjoy the heck out of all of it. Would love to meet the guy if he's still around, which I do believe he is. (Didn't know Stevie Ray was dead until recently-I don't keep up with 'em, I just listen and enjoy them) If you like George Thorogood and the Destroyers, you'll appreciate this collection.

Talk about The Turtles - 30 Years of Rock n' Roll

This set is likely as comprehensive of a collection that we will ever get of these guys. If you got these discs, you'd be lacking the following songs from the original studio albums (this isn't taking into account the various mixes and remixes):It Ain't Me Babe:"Let the Cold Winds Blow"*, "A Walk In the Sun", "Last Laugh"You Baby:"Flyin' High"*, "I Know That You'll Be There"*, "House of Pain", "I Need Someone", "Give Love a Trial", "Pall Bearing, Ball Bearing World", "All My Problems"Happy Together:"The Walking Song", "Person Without a Care", "Rugs of Woods and Flowers"Battle of the Bands:"Too Much Heartsick Feeling", "Oh, Daddy!", "Food"Turtle Soup:"Come Over", "She Always Leaves Me Laughing", "Torn Between Temptations", "John & Julie"Wooden Head:"She'll Come Back"*, "Get Away", "Wrong From the Start", "We'll Meet Again" (piano version), "On A Summer's Day", "Come Back", "Say Girl", "Tie Me Down"*...and if we're talking about classic vinyl-era compilations, then you would also lack the following (grouped in order of first appearance):Golden Hits:"Is It Any Wonder"*More Golden Hits:"Cat In The Window"*Happy Together Again: Greatest Hits"Gas Money", "Teardrops", "There You Sit Lonely"*, "Santa and the Sidewalk Surfer"Chalon Road:"Umbassa and the Dragon", "The Last Thing I Remember" (demo version), "Chicken Little Was Right" (single version)Shell Shock:"Dance This Dance" (demo version)* - available on Solid Zinc: The Turtles Anthology"Is It Any Wonder" and "Gas Money" turn up on another budget Delta/Laserlight disc entitled Golden Hits (no relation to the White Whale LP).All in all, though, this is an unbelievably very well done set for a budget label and the individual discs can be had for pennies. There are so many Turtles compilations on CD and download that it shouldn't be too hard to piece together the original albums. (Both the Repertoire and Sundazed CDs of the catalog are OOP and command high sums, so that would probably be the best choice.)
