Cut last June at Third Man’s intimate Blue Room venue-cum-recording studio, the jam-heavy Live at Third Man Records is essentially Parquet Court’s 2014 release Sunbathing Animal if it were left to scorch in the desert a little longer. Parquet Courts may not be playing Bonnaroo this year, though in many respects, they're already there. However, the closing charge through Sunbathing Animal’s hardcore-hammered title track serves as a warning that you hacky-sack to these guys at your own risk.

Parquet Courts brought a sweltering performance to he hallowed grounds of Third Man's Blue Room on June 5th of last year - and very fortunately, TMR was able to lovingly capture it with their one -of -a-kind, direct-to-acetate recording process. The set included a dynamic selection of songs from last years's critically acclaimed album Sunbathing Animal, as well as the 2013 EP, Tally All the Things That You Broke. The end result? a record that will have your feet stompin' and body rockin' as soon as the needle hits. Great live album from a great band. They are incessant in cranking out albums and this passion project from Jack White is no different.

Parquet Courts Live at Third Man Records’ was recorded in June 2014 and is the latest addition to the Live At Third Man series following similar efforts from artists including The Shins, King Tuff and The Kills. It features songs taken from their most recent album, ‘Sunbathing Animals’, plus 2013 EP, ‘Tally All The Things That You Broke’. Parquet Courts Live at Third Man Records’ tracklist: ‘Duckin & Dodgin’ ‘Bodies’ ‘Black & White’ ‘Vienna II’ ‘Always Back In Town’ ‘Dear Ramona’ ‘Descend’ ‘Instant Disassembly’ ‘Raw Milk’ ‘Into the Garden’ ‘Sunbathing Animal’

New Track: Parquet Courts – Mardi Gras Beads. Video: Parquet Courts – Wide Awake. View All. Wide Awake! Human Performance.

After releasing two albums under two slightly different guises last year, Parquet Courts are cranking out yet another record, but this time it’s a live LP. Between these guys and Ty Segall, it seems our nation’s leading garage rockers are reclaiming the lost art of the live album.

Jack Live From Third Man Records (Jack Johnson's vinyl only live album). I've got a hard time blaming the reigning Sultans of Slack for putting out a piece as unnecessary as this barely-rearranged live recording of Sunbathing Animal.

Talk about Parquet Courts - Live At Third Man Records

Is anybody else's copy of this just really quiet? Also a lot of distortion on the right channel? I've played it on two turntables and one certainly plays it better than the other, but it doesn't sound great on either one.
