Now on the road to Hell there was a railroad line And there were three old women all dressed the same And they was always singin’ in the back of your mind Everybody meet the Fates! Now on the road to Hell there was a railroad station And a man with feathers on his feet Who would help you to your final destination Mr. Hermes - that’s me! It’s a sad song It’s a sad tale, it’s a tragedy It’s a sad song But we sing it anyway Now, on the road to Hell there was a railroad line And a lady steppin' off a train With a suitcase full of summertime Persephone . .
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The road to hell is paved with good intentions is a proverb or aphorism. An alternative form is "Hell is full of good meanings, but heaven is full of good works". The saying is thought to have originated with Saint Bernard of Clairvaux who wrote (c. 1150), "L'enfer est plein de bonnes volontés ou désirs" (hell is full of good wishes or desires).
Lyrics to "Damnation" song by Architects: We suffer to survive Are we desperate creatures crawling in the dirt? Or are we lonely preachers hi.In the kingdom resides behind my own eyes I've got to catch the stone and cradle the wave Damnation is just a daydream away But still we carry on If I'm God in disguise praying for the rain And if our demons decide, then is this all in vain? We sow the wind and reap the storm Don't say you haven't been warned. It's time to confess I haunt this flesh I answer my own prayers I bid my own despair. No future's written There's endless possibility
