Walbridge and Cusack are heard on both the new performances and the Hip Flasks and Hotcha performances, but while the '60s lineup includes the late banjo player Eddie Lynch and the late drummer Glen Koch (pianist Johnny Cooper is added in 1967), the 2007 version of Mike Walbridge's Chicago Footwarmers employs Don Stiernberg on banjo and guitar and Bob. Cousins on drums.

Mike Walbridge's Chicago Footwarmers. Forty one years to the day to complete this CD! But, believe me, it is well worth the wait. The reality, of course, is that the earlier material on this CD was previously issued on a long out-of-print LP, Hip Flasks & Hotcha!, on Leon Kelert's Blackbird label. Rather than flesh out the CD issue with flawed alternate takes from the earlier sessions, Walbridge wisely insisted on recording new sides, and producer Bob Koester, who had acquired the rights to the Blackbird label, made the necessary arrangements for a new recording session.
