Don’t hesitate, just give me what I want Time to respond, baby; get right to the point To solve this case, busted in the act All I really need, is just the facts. I’m on the case I don’t wanna waste my energy, no no no no no And wasting time gets a maximum penalty If goodness returns, justice is done All I wanna know is just th. unshot. acts. All I really know (All I want is just the facts) Just the facts, that’s all I want (All I want is just the facts).

Patti LaBelle is the debut solo album by singer Patti LaBelle, released in 1977. The first album LaBelle recorded after sixteen years fronting the band Labelle (formerly Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles), it is notable for the dance hit, "Joy to Have Your Love", the classic gospel-inspiring ballad, "You Are My Friend" and the Angelo "Funky Knuckles" Nocentelli mid-tempo number, "I Think About You".

Patti LaBelle's 1989 album, Be Yourself, boasts a bevy of the day's brightest songwriters and producers, including the ubiquitous Diane Warren, who penned the album's lead single, "If You Asked Me To," which several years later became a massive hit for Celine Dion. Prior to recording the album, LaBelle initially thought of retiring from the music industry after nearly twenty years as the lead singer of the hugely successful girl group Labelle. Following the group's March 1977 split, brought on by months of growing tension, LaBelle and her husband of then eight years, Armstead Edwards, went to see a shrink over emotional distress in their marriage, which was partially due to the singer's fright over continuing a career without her group members. Everybody goes through the same thing; it doesn't matter what color you are. And Joss Stone just happened to wake up one morning with all this soul that had to come ou. "I have spoken to a friend of mine. Actually, she was my background singer and she lives in New Orleans.
