Unless otherwise noted, all transcriptions are in Bb key. Here you can find more about the best web sites that offer free and paid solo transcriptions. If you are looking for a specific solo that you can’t find here or in these other sites, please DO NOT ask me if I know where you can find it,because I obviously don’t. Did you transcribe a solo or found a transcription that isn’t in this list? Please let me know.
I was lucky enough to see Kenny baker and his band perform live on two occasions when I was a young lad, my Dad, himself a Pro trumpet player, took me and a mate of mine, to the "three crowns" venue in the Midlands, where I witnessed "the spectacular trumpet of Kenny Baker" first hand. As a trumpet player myself, this is without doubt the finest album of a trumpet solo artist.
Album released in Spain in 1970 by Columbia Decca Phase 4 Stereo. This recording is a true spectacle performed by jazz trumpeter Kenny Baker English (1921-1999) and accompanied by the orchestra of the famed British director Roland Shaw. Of his vast and splendid career can mention that Baker performed alongside world-class artists as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis J. Tony Bennett and even The Beatles, as well as several soundtracks of the films of James Bond. From him it was said that 'he was for jazz what the Rolling Stones to rock'.
