Jane Doe is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Converge. It was released on September 4, 2001, via Equal Vision Records, it is the band's last release on the label. The album was produced by Matthew Ellard alongside Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou and the artwork was created by the band's singer Jacob Bannon. It the band's first album to feature bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller, and the last to feature guitarist Aaron Dalbec; Converge's line-up has remained stable since.

The first album Los Angeles, is the band’s debut and perhaps a defining album of that era. It was released in 1980 and was ranked at 287 in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and at 24 in the magazine’s 100 Best Albums of the Eighties. No album has succeeded better as a snapshot of a city and its punk subculture than X’s debut album, the magazine stated in the issue for the latter category. First Four’, the band’s debut LP, is a collection of the EPs, cassettes and CD-Rs they have released since their inception at the beginning of last year. As the band themselves confess, they are heavily indebted to the 90s for inspiration, and there are definite shades of thePixies, Weezer, Sleater-Kinney and Hole in their upbeat and melodic sound. Julia Survived’ is also really catchy and a much better moment on the album.
