Performing as Grandpa Jones, he played the guitar or banjo, yodeled, and sang mostly old-time ballads. By 1937, Jones had made his way to West Virginia, where Cousin Emmy taught Jones the art of the clawhammer style of banjo playing, which gave a rough backwoods flavor to his performances. In 1942, Jones joined WLW in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an accomplished performer herself, she would take part in his performances. Jones' vaudeville humor was a bridge to television. His more famous songs include "T For Texas", "Are You From Dixie", "Night Train To Memphis" and "Mountain Dew", and "Eight More Miles To Louisville".

This song is by Grandpa Jones and appears on the album What's for Supper? (1974). I went down to Riggso townI met an old man and his name was BrownHe said you can sleep in the shanty-oBut you have to sleep with the baby-o. When I got there I's froze to deathAnd I didn't wanna smell no baby breathSo I looked at him and I said by darnIf you don't mind I'll sleep in the barn.

Sir Thomas John Woodward OBE (born 7 June 1940), known professionally as Tom Jones, is a Welsh singer. His career has spanned over 50 years since his emergence as a vocalist with a string of top-ten hits in the mid-1960s. He has toured regularly, with appearances in Las Vegas (1967–2011), and has had several career comebacks, such as his high-profile coaching role on the television talent show The Voice UK from 2012 (with the exception of 2016).

Adam Jones originally got the nick name 'Pacman' from his mother because of the way he always went for his bottle as a child. The name really stuck to Adam when he was involved in a shooting incident outside a strip club, after that event the nick name has stuck with him ever since.
