EXORCIST is a thrash metal music artist. EXORCIST is an US speed metal act from New York City, New York formed in 1985. The band released the "Nightmare Theatre" album in 1986 and then disbanded. EXORCIST´S "Nightmare Theatre" album was one of a few releases on Cobra Records by made-up bands with the musicians working under pseudonyms. It was written and recorded by VIRGIN STEELE´S David DeFeis and Edward Pursino with help from VS bassist Joe O'Reilly and ex-Steeler drummer Mark Edwards.

The Exorcist is an American horror television series based on the novel The Exorcist, written by William Peter Blatty.
