Новым ударником Forbidden стал Стив Якобс (Steve Jacobs), но испытать новичка в деле группе довелось лишь пять лет спустя - по ряду причин, в том числе и из-за проблем с фирмой (рассчитавшись с Combat сборником Point of No Return: The Best of Forbidden группа долго искала новую компанию, пока не подписала контракт с Massacre Records), новый альбом под названием. We would like to proudly announce that the line up for this album and all of our up coming shows are, Russ Anderson, Craig Locicero, Steve Smyth, Matt Camacho, and Mark Hernandez. That being said, the re-union is now over and the future of Forbidden has begun. Mark and Steve are officially members of Forbidden! We are extremely excited about Steve Smyth joining us for our newest chapter! Steve has been jamming and writing with us already and is a perfect compliment to the new material.

Point of No Return: The Best of Forbidden. Second wave Bay-Area thrash metal bands like Forbidden, don't exactly have hits, so any best-of collection - especially after only two studio releases - is a questionable affair. While many fans agree that the two releases picked from to complete the tracklist of Point of No Return are in fact the bands best, a strong argument could be made that Forbidden's less late ‘90s material has some merit of its own too, leaving the record's "best of" status questionable.
