The novels of Jules Verne known as Voyages Extraordinaires are narrative novels that regularly feature ruins, whether real or imaginary. As a matter of fact, these ruins differ from each other above all depending on whether they are produced by man or by nature, . the mere passage of time.
Jules Verne was a known for his adventure novels and his influence on the oft-complex and adventuresome genre of science fiction. Verne was heavily influenced by his European upbringing which normally spilled into this writing. His combination of adventure, complex and fun narrative, and the ability to paint a picture in a reader’s mind gives him the designation of being one of the world’s greatest literary writers. When I was a child I had a huge collection of hardback copies of the "Voyages Extraordinaires", and I've been wanting to re-read them on my Kindle for a while now. I've been on the lookout for a decent collection, and from what I have seen this is the largest and best collection on offer, containing more or Jules Verne's stories than any of the other collections.
