Complete your Buckfunk 3000 collection. After almost 8 years, this album still sounds incredibleee !! Bass, unconventional loops, a lot of robo-sounds, atari sounds. It's pure science ficition made with electro and IDM. By moments it sounds like Aphex Twin and his alias Powr Pill in the Pacman release or the great job by Bogdan Rackzinsky and Bochum Welt. It's like if some kind of artificial or mechanical inteligence are playing with himself. This is the sound that imagine Philip K. Dick in his novel . Reply Notify me 2 Helpful.

Though listening for signs of "intelligent" life could result in brain damage, First Class Ticket to Telos is an irresistible journey through high-intensity bubblegum trance, reminiscent of how Aphex Twin might soundtrack a video game. There are more ideas in the tracks "Fried Funk & Microchips," "Planet Shock Future Rock" and "Panic Button" than many acts have built entire careers on, and Begg never seems to run out of great effects and tight rhythms. While the earlier singles (particularly ock") contained a far more pronounced old-school electro flavor, Telos is resolutely in the weird techno vein, with straightforward rhythms mixed with off-kilter sounds and bizarre structural non sequiturs that break up techno's classic conservatism.

This CD is a long crazy trip - we`re on our way to another planet with our friendly but wierd travel-guide SI BEGG - i really enjoyed listening to this cd back in 98 - nothing to play out in a club though.
