Live in Japan is a music live recording by BARIS MANCO (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1996 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. The lyrics were derived from an eleven page long poem by Dr. Daisaku Ikeda dedicated to Barış Mano. Mano also sang parts of "Domates Biber Patlıcan" and "Nane Limon Kabuğu" in Japanese for the occasion.
In 1976, Baris released his third album which was actually also a compilation of songs previously released in 45s, as happened with his debut. For this LP release, and basically because of contractual reasons, we are presenting you this compilation with a few changes: two of the original songs are not there, and we added four new ones. The '90s also saw Manco become surprisingly popular in Japan, even more than in his home country. A concert in which 20,000 Japanese listeners held Japanese and Turkish flags together and sang along with Manco was recorded and released as Baris Manco Live in Japan. Manco released his final studio album, Musadenizle Cocuklar (If You’ll Excuse Me Kids), in 1995. Four years later, on January 31, 1999, he passed away.
