1952 compilation album by Various Artists. Anthology of American Folk Music. Compilation album by. Various Artists. Each of the three two-record sets carried the same cover art, a Theodore de Bry etching of an instrument Smith referred to as the "Celestial Monochord," taken from a mystical treatise by scientist/alchemist Robert Fludd. Many people who first heard this music through the Anthology came from very different cultural and economic backgrounds from its original creators and listeners. Many previously obscure songs became standards at hootenannies and folk clubs due to their inclusion on the Anthology.
For anyone that owns or listens to vols. I-III, volume IV does not disappoint. This anthology is relevant and pleasing to the ear and makes a fine addition to ANY collection of American music.

ELEMENTS, is still an all-ages anthology, very much so open to all fictional stories you feel we’re not allowed to tell in traditional publishing because our voices are not understood. It features our Submission Guidlines section as well as plenty of useful information about the previous anthology, ELEMENTS: Fire! Some of the particulars! Please see the full list here. Thank you for believing in the vision that drove it and the hashtag that probably got me blacklisted from various places, but just as much as The award was accepted by the amazing Shivana Sookdeo who read my speech for me as well! I’m very grateful to Spike Trotman or Iron Circus Comics, for taking books to have us represented at SPX and for my friends making sure they were sold.
This album was limited to 16, so great versions by Stevie Wonder, the Four Tops, Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Frankie Valli, and others considered are not here, but the ones that made the cut are a lot of fun. Whether its Dusty Springfield's immaculate -five-second version, or Stanley Turrentine's nty-two-second reading, hearing this marvelous melody over and over is a delight. Only Dusty's version hints at the James Bond theme reference - that great bassline riff that comes after the chorus
