Tony Trischka, Bill Keith, and Bela Fleck-Fiddle Tunes For Banjo. Jim Pankey - Posted - 12/29/2015: 16:26:44. Fiddle Tunes for banjo with Keith, Trischka and Fleck has already been mentioned and is a gem and certainly an album to be considered here. All three artists played amazingly and there's a ton of melodic banjo to go around from each man on that one. I think the video above doesn't prove much of anything when it comes to deciding on a GOATMBA. Yeah, Bela demonstrated a bunch of styles.

Bittersweet Reflective Wistful Rowdy Quirky. Tony Trischka, Bill Keith, Béla Fleck. Fiddle Tunes for Banjo.

While I was living in Lexington, Ky. the idea of this record came into being. I recorded my tracks at Lemco, with the legendary Cecil Taylor, and took the chance to play some lead guitar as well, something I never did again in a bluegrass context. My elbow never liked it when I flat picked so I gradually had to let it go. I was proud to be on a record with these two banjo icons, who were both massive influences on me. Tony and Bill and I recorded a track together at my folks house, which I’m.

Tony was banjo teacher to Béla Fleck, regarded, along with Tony, as one of the world's top banjoists. In the late 90s, Trischka teamed up with David Grier, Darol Anger, Mike Marshall, and Todd Phillips as "Psychograss" and formed a new band, whose debut album Bend explored yet more territory uncharted by banjo. In January 2007 Tony released, to critical and popular acclaim, Double Banjo Bluegrass Spectacular, featuring new music and performances by a stellar line-up of musicians including Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck and even the multi-talented Steve Martin
